Dude, what in the methamphetamine hell is going on here?

Our seller bought this place in December 2012 for $180,000, let it fall into total disrepair over the years and then, driven by malignant avarice and delusion, listed for $510,000 in January of this year.

Half a million clams for this dilapidated pile of shit.

In May they cut the price to $480,000 and have been stuck at that absolutely batshit price ever since.

This is pure madness. These people have to be on drugs.

I mean, look at this odd, rambling listing description. It’s like they’re talking about a completely different house:

Beautiful home in a Big Bear community in Big Bear City, CA, make this home your own! features a 3 bedroom 3 bath 1374 square foot home built in 1977. With a lovely front porch. When you enter into this home you will be welcomed by a beautiful fireplace in the living room, on your right you will find connected to the kitchen a spacious family room. The master bedroom has access to a family size outside patio for summer Barbeques. There are also nearby Parks for recreation, you also have the pleasure of your choice to indulge in the Big Bear Lake for fishing or the enjoyment of your favorite water sports, boating or just relaxing on the lakeside!! There is a fantastic view of the forestry all around you, there are arts and crafts in Big Bear Lake, and so much more! If you get bored here it is because you haven’t engage in what is here for you to do for FREE. There are near by Churches, Markets, Gas stations, convenience stores, hair & nail salons, medical clinics, Post Office, Fire Station, Hospital in Big Bear Lake and BIG time shopping!! We have Farmers Market in the summer. There is so much to see and do when you come to personally experience this beautiful mountain community!!! Let your senses feel and enjoy!!!

All those words and they don’t even acknowledge the horrendous state of this place? This is bonkers.

I can’t believe the listing agent took on this unsellable shack in the first place, then actually entered $ 4 8 0 , 0 0 0 into the MLS with a straight face. Did the seller have a gun to their head?

If you’re interested in buying this fully fucked fixer (in which case I would strongly suggest seeking a mental health evaluation) here is what you are looking at:

Purchase price: $480,000

Down Payment (20%): $96,000

Monthly Payment: $3,183/mo (@7%)

I mean, that payment is too much for a place with floors. These sellers are out of their minds.

I’m actually offended by this listing. To not even address the deplorable condition of this house, then use words like “beautiful” and “lovely” as if we don’t have eyeballs is pretty insulting. And on top of that they have the gall to ask $350 per square foot for something approaching teardown status.

This is insanity.

What do you think?
